(post 52) - final ancillary task 2

Ancillary task 2 




Displayed above is our final outcome of our album poster. We have decided to use a simple photo of the two main characters within out music video (myself and Amelia). The photo shows two girls that we assume are laughing to one another and the camera has captured this moment they are sharing. Directly on top of the photograph we have added a title of the single and the artists name in the same font but slightly smaller. We have also added small logos of iTunes and spotify for promotional reasons. 


To edit our poster, we used the editing softwares named 'Adobe Photoshop' and 'Adobe lightroom'. Photoshop - An image editing software developed and manufactured by Adobe Systems Inc. Photoshop is considered one of the leaders in photo editing software. The software allows users to manipulate, crop, resize, and correct color on digital photos. Lightroom - Adobe Lightroom (officially Adobe Photoshop Lightroom) is a family of image organization and image manipulation software developed by AdobeSystems for Windows and macOS. It allows viewing, organizing and editing large numbers of digital images. Lightroom's edits are non-destructive.

No changes have been made to the settings outlines since the planning stage so we are working from the settings outlines below.  SETTING Are you familiar with the term 'setting'? I am familiar with the term setting and in my opinion, it means the place or type of surroundings where something is positioned or where an event takes place. So in our situation, the setting would be in a house near the beach. As that is where we are filming our music video. What settings   do you consider 'setting' using in your music video? For our video we want to portray the present day, with a variety of shots in and out of a victorian beach house located in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The season will be winter as my group and I thought this time of year would compliment our ideas. (post 23) - Audience Research

In this task, we were set to go into town which is a busy, built up area to ask a variety of different people what their opinions and views are of music videos and how they consume them. We have been set the task of starting our audience research for our coursework; which will give us a clearer idea on what the consumers would want to see from our work for it to be successful. We decided the most effective way of collecting this information is to make a video, asking people from around Wymondham and our sixth form to gain a further insight to what people think makes a good music video. By asking the public we will get a variety of ages, which will help us get more inclusive answers to our questions, rather than if we just stayed in sixth form and asked our peers. But by also asking within sixth form we get more information from our actual target audience, which is younger people as they are more likely to relate to the content from our video.
