(post 15) - Ancillary task 1 practice

We were given a task in groups of 2/3 to create a film poster in response to a ready made one from a previous film.
Our poster was Rocky V: (this is the original)















The one we made:





We took some photos of Luke in the same position as the man in the Rocky V poster. We took a wide range and then selected the 2 most similar ones to the poster that we were given. We then moved them over to Photoshop and layered the two images over the top of an American flag, which was as similar to the original poster as possible. We then cut around the full body image, in order to get rid of the background of that photo in order to place it on top of the American Flag. Then we added the close up image of Luke behind the full body image. we put it all together, and in the end became a successful poster.

(post 45) - final setting(s)

No changes have been made to the settings outlines since the planning stage so we are working from the settings outlines below.  SETTING Are you familiar with the term 'setting'? I am familiar with the term setting and in my opinion, it means the place or type of surroundings where something is positioned or where an event takes place. So in our situation, the setting would be in a house near the beach. As that is where we are filming our music video. What settings   do you consider 'setting' using in your music video? For our video we want to portray the present day, with a variety of shots in and out of a victorian beach house located in Lowestoft, Suffolk. The season will be winter as my group and I thought this time of year would compliment our ideas. (post 23) - Audience Research

In this task, we were set to go into town which is a busy, built up area to ask a variety of different people what their opinions and views are of music videos and how they consume them. We have been set the task of starting our audience research for our coursework; which will give us a clearer idea on what the consumers would want to see from our work for it to be successful. We decided the most effective way of collecting this information is to make a video, asking people from around Wymondham and our sixth form to gain a further insight to what people think makes a good music video. By asking the public we will get a variety of ages, which will help us get more inclusive answers to our questions, rather than if we just stayed in sixth form and asked our peers. But by also asking within sixth form we get more information from our actual target audience, which is younger people as they are more likely to relate to the content from our video.
